Produced on a carbon-neutral basis
Produced on a carbon-neutral basis

As an Austrian, family owned company, sustainability is a guiding principle and a firm company value. For us, sustainability means ensuring that the needs of the today's generations are fulfilled without causing harm to future generations.

Therfore, Granny's have been produced totally on a carbon-neutral basis. To date, through the use of our in-house biomass power plant and an external electricity provider, which operates exklusively with renewable energy sources, 99% of the energy is produced in a carbon-neutral manner, and the remaining CO₂ emissions are compensated by climate certificates. The "LIFESTRAW®" water treatment project in Kenya is supported by this.

You can find more information about the project in the German project description.

PET to PET

We are aware of our environment and social responsibility and have pushed forward the initiative to collect and recycle PET bottles. For this reason, our company was also co-founder of PET to PET Recycling Austria GmbH in 2006, which is concerned with the reuse of PET bottles. In the recycling plant, up to 20,000 tonnes of valuable PET material are produced annually, in compliance with the sustainability criteria, as starting materials for new PET bottles. The goal is to further increase the proportion of recycled material in the bottles in the medium term from the already existing 30 percent.
